There are not many games for the PS3 that have hit the sweet spot of “low cost, and well made multiplayer”, but Fat Princess takes the cake (err, sorry, couldn’t resist).
Coming from the mindset of team based playing, F.P. covers more than you would realize. Friends/Buddy list, ability to reserve your buddies names on a list for a game your hosting, ensuring they can get in. VOIP, up to 32 players, 8 maps included, different classes/roles with unique abilities, the ability to pickup a dead persons kit (or hat in this case) to switch to their class/role.
The game also have some funny options like Soccer. Resources are thrown on the map from the audience watching the game and occasionally hats are too. Grab the builder hat and you can build golaies and jump ramps in the game. Grab the solider hat and take a sword to your opponent trying to score a goal!
The game tracks EVERY stat you can think of, and grants trophies. Not the weapon unlocks that BF games have, but again, this game offers a lot, and its only 15 bucks.
A couple of things I thought to point out that are not obvious when you start out, that are important to know are:
When you are a BUILDER Class, which is a good option at the beginning of the game, you will see that each weapon station has 2 icons with numbers next to it. This is the amount of resources that station needs in order to upgrade. The icon on the left is WOOD SUPPLIES, and the other is ROCK/GEM supplies.
When you gather supplies you can drop it off to ANY of the weapon stations or any external castle stations your team has and it goes in your teams RESOURCE STATION (if you will). You do NOT have to walk up to the specific station you want to upgrade.
When enough resources have been acquired, you can go up to the station you want to upgrade, or door you want to fix and hold L1 down and hit your action key. You will see a progress bar showing you how much longer it will take to finish.

If someone else on your team starts building something its taken out of your TEAMS RESOURCE STATION, and if you need more then you will have to get more.
I have noticed many people play the builder class so resources are usually there when you need them. There are alos areas on the map you will see a SAW icon bouncing and that is a place a builder can construct jump ramps, ladders etc.
Worth your 15.oo buck easy. Pick it up and enjoy. Its on the PS Network via download.
